Hard to believe Summer is almost over. Things have been crazy busy this Summer, that and the extreme heat have lead to many indoor photos. We have stayed busy this Summer with The Steel Toad, our automotive & cycle photography end of the business as well, working on calenders and other promotional pieces for local builders and painters. Growing up with a dad who sold cars my entire life, I have always had a love for beautiful works of art in the form of transportation. Below are just a few of the recent shoots.
We are keeping busy with Senior Photos as well. I have had parents come up to me and tell me they wish they would’ve spent the time and money on getting professional photos of their Seniors when they graduated. Now the kids are off to college and are never around. The Senior Year is a big year in the life of your young adult. Eighteen years of your life invested into this one that is getting ready to head out on their own. We may not be able to freeze time and keep them from leaving, but we can capture a moment of it to cherish for the rest of ours. Don’t give that moment to just anyone with a camera. I could own the top surgical instruments on the market, yet I believe you would not want me to perform your surgery. There is more to taking quality photos than setting your camera on AUTO, so make sure you put your trust in those of us who do this for a living. Call us today to schedule your Senior’s session soon. Yearbook photos are included in the session.

In the words of Cyndi Lauper, Girls Just Want To Have Fun! It doesn’t matter if they are two years old or ninety, girls seem to like to dress up. Especially in beautiful dresses and wearing a nice tiara. Come on now, tell me it’s not your dream:-)
Well, we had five girls get their dreams to come true with a little Girls Night Out party. Nothing like a couple of hours with plenty of dresses to try on and getting your own private fashion shoot. A definitely fun time for the girls and moms. Yes, the moms even got into the action with some prom dresses, though I believe those photos are for them and their daughters eyes only.
Anyone interested in a Girls Night Out party, please feel free to contact us for more information. We cater to all ages.

Andrew

Wow, I know this is beginning to sound familiar, but time sure flies! Things have been a little crazy around here for so far this year. Between weddings, senior photos, helping models build their portfolios, maternity & newborn shoots, engagements, motorcycle and car shoots and swap meets, and having my business TheSteelToad.com placed on a race car and steins up at Old Hat Brewery, I have been trying to get caught up on the computer end of things. I know I said this last time, but I am going to do my best in keeping up on this blog. I actually do better at keeping up on Facebook with the two separate business pages. If you have not yet become a fan of the pages, go to ForeverAlwaysPhotography.com and click on Facebook. You can join there. You can also go to TheSteelToad.com and click on the link to the Facebook page on the homepage and join that fan page as well. That way you can keep up on all the latest happenings.
Any seniors still needing photos for this year 2010, I will be glad to work with you in getting things done quickly. Those who will be Seniors this coming year, I am already taking in students for the Ambassador programs. I already have a girl for Lawton and Mattawan, with a few others talking with their parents. Sign up quickly if you are interested. Only one girl and guy allowed from each school. Major, and I mean MAJOR discounts are given along with some really cool perks. Don’t wait too long to sign up.
God Bless,
Andrew

Summer is almost over, and the kids are headed back to school next week. Where did the time go? This seems like a constant theme in my life. Summer was definitely fun, being my first summer home with the kids all day long! Some days seeming longer than others:) Last year I was putting in 60 hours or more each week at Stryker and coming home to work on photos. It was hard going to sleep at 9 or 10 in order to get up between 2-4am. I think I am closer to getting to bed at those times now.
This summer has had many photo sessions, from water ski events, to senior photos, to family portraits, to starting up another division of Forever Always Photography, LLC, The Steel Toad, that focuses on the automotive & cycle photography business. It has been a busy but fun ride. I thank God for providing so far.
I do have some slots open within the Senior Ambassador program for some of the schools in the area. If you are interested in finding out more information, please give me a call at 269-303.1806 or drop me a line at info@ForeverAlwaysPhotography.com.

Okay, most of us may have our computers set to keep cookies off our hard drives, but these are definitely cookies you would like to have. Last week I had fun doing a little photo shoot with some cookies for a new start-up web cookie company. Yes, I did lose a cookie or two, but not till I was done taking photos:)
It was good to try something new, and still life, at least indoors, is something that I do not have a lot of practice with. I started taking photos in the late ’80′s of architecture for a building company, and even did indoor shots of some of the rooms for advertising, but I never spent much time doing any real close-ups of smaller objects. It was a great challenge for me, and a lot of fun as well. I hope to do more still lifes soon.
God Bless,
Andrew
PS.-I will get you the web address of the cookie company as soon as I get it:)

This past Saturday I decided to start the Spring season off with something unique for me. I lined up a empty warehouse, some good friends as models, and one very retro trailer. Saturday morning, one of the friends called canceling due to a sick child, while the other showed up with a suitcase full of wardrobe changes:)
Okay, I thought it might have been a little warmer than it was by starting time. Needless to say, poor Corey was a little on the cold side. With my daughter running the reflector panel for me, and keeping an eye on dad for mom, we made the most of our time with the trailer and warehouse.
Corey, who does love country music, played the cowgirl perfectly. Even though this was not a Senior portrait session, I wanted to show a different artistic style that many of the seniors like today. This style of photo with all its props and location can be utilized within the Senior session without any extra fees.
We used other areas within the warehouse for other shoots as well, showing that a model can pull off many different looks with just a change of wardrobe and slight change in scenery.
It was definitely a fun time, with another shoot lined up already possibly utilizing a ’65 Lincoln. Who knows, maybe we will do a little Matrix look this next time.
God Bless,
Andrew
